With the help of Tim Mullett, we now have a lightning sensor online.
The sensor is made by Boltek and has a usable range of about 300 miles.
I've ordered the map background for the display, but it won't be in for
about a week. |

The new weather station is finally up an running. The old
Oregon Scientific WM-918 has been replaced by a nice new Davis Vantage
Pro. The wind sensors are now about 30 ft. above the surface, and
the rain gauge and other outdoor sensors are now approx. 5 ft. up on the
north side of the house, away from anything that could interfere with
sensing true weather conditions. I have 4 black and white cameras
installed, N, E, S, W, but need to find good software to display their
images. |
